Bienvenue a la Journey!
The above welcome message is as much French as you are going to see in this course, but just like learning a new language can be difficult and overwhelming, so can a new learning platform such as e-Learning. Before we can dive into the magical world of physics it is my aim to help you succeed in this course by providing a short orientation course on how to maximize your learning and help you achieve the desired outcomes that you are aiming for.
Simply put, we will not be learning French but I like to think of learning online as a new language and here is your crash course.

Who am I?My name is Fernando Morales, you can call me Mr. Fernando. I will be your facilitator of learning for the weeks to come and I will give my 101% to ensure that you enjoy and complete successfully the course.
I love to travel, and currently planning a trip to Turkey with my friend in June, and then have yet to decide a good location for July with my sister (recommendations are welcomed). I will be using this as a way of communicating and posting course material, but your peers and myself will be made available in a variety of mediums which we will explore in this short orientation course. Overview:
The e-learning course orientation consists of five modules. Please make sure you complete the required readings and the follow up activity in each module. There is a different activity to complete in each module which will provide an experience into the tools that we will be using to learn physics. It is estimated that this course should take you more or less two hours.
Expectations:
By the end of this orientation course, you will:
- Identify course organization elements (e.g., course outline, deadlines, participation, assessment)
- Investigate ways that the course material will be made available
- Analyze and reflect on your own learning style
- Conduct an online collaboration environment (e.g., google groups and google docs)
- Demonstrate that you can navigate online tools (e.g., using google drive for submitting assignments)
- Use appropriate terminology related to e-Learning
