Module 3: Gravitational, Electric, and Magnetic Fields
Overview:
In this unit, you will explore gravitational, electric, and magnetic forces and fields. You will analyze the behaviour of particles in these fields and will look at similarities and differences among the fields. Through calculations and simulations you will gain an understanding of forces and fields that you can apply to a real-world technology.
Overall Curriculum Expectations:
By the end of this course, students will:
D1. Analyze the operation of technologies that use gravitational, electric, or magnetic fields, and assess the technologies’ social and environmental impact.
D2. Investigate, in qualitative and quantitative terms, gravitational, electric, and magnetic fields, and solve related problems.
D3. Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts, properties, principles, and laws related to gravitational, electric, and magnetic fields and their interactions with matter.
